Amber Inn Bar & Grill

If you want the best burgers in Eau Claire,go to the Amber Inn! The Amber Inn is family run, and family friendly(they even have sippy cups and booster seats).A lot of people go there just to have lunch and talk with the owner,Orv. They are the oldest bar in town,( originally built by the Walters brewing company in 1881) and the first to offer 1/2 pound cheeseburgers(or" Ambergers" as locals would call them). They also have the "Dagwood", which is an over sized club sandwich ,among other great sandwiches and wraps. If your in the area,take a step back in time, and have lunch at a real "Working man's bar". Oh yeah, they also except credit cards.

You will not find a more "Eau Clairean...-ish?" bar. Many have tried over the years, & there are plenty of good ones around, but if'n ya want the Eau Claire experience this is the place. Take some time to look at the history. Then have yerself wander out to take a glimpse over what was once the river bank of the Eau Claire River. It'll go good w/ the food & the beer. It's why it's still there, ya see. It's a well-done, much appreciated hallmark of the history of a town full of good-natured, historically somewhat potentially "mediocre" Wisconsin goofballs. You'll dig it.

Another great food experience! Orv and the bartenders/cooks are so friendly. Everything I've ever tried has been excellent. You can't beat their burgers or chicken wings. And the bloody Mary with Orv's special vodka is delicious.

Their burgers are amazing!!! Hands down best pub burgers I've ever had!! This place gets pretty busy, but they still always have great service! Great selection of beers as well!! Extremely clean and friendly atmosphere! Definitely a place I would take my whole family!!

I can’t believe that I waited until I moved out of Eau Claire to finally try this place! The bar has been around for as long as I can remember but you wouldn’t be able to tell that from the inside! The server was nice and prompt and the bar had a fun atmosphere. It felt welcoming and nostalgic.
