I was fortunate to be able to try some samplings of food from Locavore at the grand opening for Zymurgy Brewing in Menomonie, WI. There was a spread of various local foods, from cheeses to breads to spreads to venison

From the moment I walked in, I knew I would need to sample the offerings. I ordered my drink first, of course, on celebration of the grand opening, then made my way over to the Locavore table. After some pleasant conversation with the two wonderful folks serving the food, I went for it and filled up a plate.

I particularly enjoyed the cheese offerings. There were very unique cheeses with creative names like Circle of the Sun and Moonglow, which proved more than a fancy name with their excellent flavor and texture.

I was very impressed with Locavore, both the food and the attitude of their staff. I look forward to potential future opportunities to try some of their hot/prepared food as I hear rumors they may become a staple out front of Zymurgy with their food truck.

I've stopped at Locavore a few different times, and everything I've tried has been spectacular. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the inclusion of vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu. And the cheese curds are maybe the best cheese curds I've ever had.

Get the cheese curds. You will not be disappointed! The breakfast is delicious as well. Really, anything Amy makes is delicious...
