Classic Northwoods bar and dining experience with beautiful views! Drinks are very good and bartenders very friendly. Fish fries here are outstanding! However, steaks are not very good at all. Prime rib is some of the worst we’ve ever had and steaks are not cooked correctly. Not grilled whatsoever (they must be baked somehow, with no sear.) Do not recommend any of the steak selections, as they are not to par at best. Server Gina (Dina?) rushed us to our table and tried to rush us right out before we were really done. She is unfriendly and snotty, and should be hidden back in the kitchen somewhere. Rest of the staff is very efficient and friendly.
This is one of my favorite places to go and eat. I have yet to have a bad meal at Annie's. And I've been there a lot. I give this ten thumbs up not just one. It's wheelchair accessible, Lots of parking, And the setting is beautiful on the lake.
I remember going to this place over 30 years ago when it used to be Toby’s Trading Post. There was a general store and butcher shop where the kitchen is currently located. A couple owners and remodels later… Annie’s Trading Post is better than ever! Annie brought her amazing culinary expertise to the beautiful views of Keyes Lake and has created a real gem. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Fantastic views over the lake. What more can you ask for from a north woods Wisconsin restaurant? If you haven’t already been, I highly recommend a trip to Annie’s.
Fast service! 16 oz tenderloin filet and loaded mashed potatoes
Food was pretty good but nothing spectacular. I was really ticked off that I asked if they had soda on tap and did it have free refills only to find out when I got the bill that you get one refill so I got charged for two drinks. Now don’t get me wrong; paying for two drinks is no big deal. But when I specifically asked about refills and you never mentioned that you get one refill per drink… come on man!
