Applebee's Grill + Bar

If you're reading a review of Applebee's, you must be from a different country. I think most people have dined here before.

This particular location has a very friendly bartender and manager who were on duty this night. I ordered a top shelf Long Island Ice Tea and when I got it, the taste was way off. The manager saw it didn't look right and asked me if it tasted ok. It didn't and she said the sweet and sour mix they prepare daily looked too pale. So the bartender mixed up a new batch after I told her how many liters were in a half gallon! It was actually a pretty funny scenario and we all had a good laugh. The remade drink tasted much better.

My wife and I got the 2 for $25 deal and both ordered the sirloin. It wasn't a terrific steak, but you don't go here for terrific steak. All in all, a nice dinner.

We were sat right away. The waitress took our drink order. She came back with our drinks and we put our food order in with appetizers. Husband salad came. Husband's appetizer came. We're still waiting. Then our food comes before our appetizer. So I say something to the waitress. She apologized and said she would go check on them. She came back and asked if we still wanted them. I told her no. Throughout our whole meal we could hear her complain about the tips she didn't get to her fellow servers. Will come back but we'll request not to have her.

Great food! Great service! Good specials! 1/2 price appetizers after 9 pm. Manager on duty great personality! Happy and full of spunk! Thank you all!!

Applebee's is consistently good even though I was told most of the food is cooked in the microwave. I love the southwest steak salad and have always been a big fan of the quesadilla burger. I do like to follow up the meal with a boozy Irish coffee....
