Had dinner and found the cocktails to be interesting and tasty (pulp fiction, house old fashion, Hodag margarita and lax mule). Chips and salsa lacking but guacamole was good. Shrimp tostada was refreshing, the pork enchilada was good. The wedge salad very good and the spicy cucumbers were fiery but liked as well. The corn and black beans were very good. And the peach & rhubarb dessert was light. Fun communal seating available at long table.
Delicious drinks! Our bartender McHale was very friendly and helpful. Had a great experience :)
Whiskey is a little young, needs more time in the barrel. Potato vodka is average, the rye vodka is great. (left with a bottle) Disappointed in the mixologist, asked for one of the drinks with the rye vodka, was informed it was premixed with the potato, rather than manually mix the drink, suggested other options. I was in early afternoon on Sunday the 21st. Did not seem that busy.
The distilled spirits are decent. The service for cocktails is pretty slow. We were here on a Sunday evening and they were not busy and it took almost 15 minutes to get our drinks. The server said they had a private party upstairs but that shouldn't matter. You need to staff your restaurant appropriately.
