DR. DAWG

Last two times I was there, they got really simple orders wrong. Once ordered chili & got a chili dog. Once ordered 22 inch Chicago dog & got 2 if them!

These were carryout orders. Ten minutes after pickup, both were totally cold. Not even slightly warm.

I love their dogs but don't recommend carryout because you can't correct the order if you're not there. Too bad.

The chicken is cooked fresh! Went thinking they would be a great place for hot dogs but their chicken sandwiches and burgers are delicious. I got the chicken club with pepper jack.

Pros:
Great food made fresh. Small locally owned establishment that could easily compete with the top Dawgs. The fresh charbroiled chicken breast was awesome.

Cons:
On the higher side for a lunch/counter order establishment but that extra couple of bucks goes strait into the quality your getting.

Environment:
Kitchy kind of gave the feel of a chain restaurant but with the friendly faces of local grub. And the food... ????

Tips:
Chicken is made to order and never frozen. Same with the beef. The charbroiled taste is perfect and I'd def recommend getting it with cheese.

Very good burgers and hot dogs polish kind of pricey

Try the cheeseburger, I know it's a Chicago hot dog joint but the grass fed burgers are awesome! Fries are great too!

Awesome lunch stop. Good hot food and great atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
