“A new ethnic restaurant in Glendale! They say they are a Himalayan restaurant, and I'm kinda ignorant here, but their menu seems Indian to me. They have all the familiar Indian cuisine - curry, tikka masala, naan and samosa. I was super doped to see the new sign when I was visiting the Pick and Save that shares the same parking lot, but they were so busy that day that I gave up trying to wait and went home. They've been calling me in my sleep though... so I went early evening today, at around 5 (Thursday) and ordered take out. Thankfully they weren't so busy as before, though they already had other pick up orders and two tables full. All a good sign. Beef Momo appetizer ($6.50) The menu said "all apps will be served with homemade mint and tamarind chutney" but mom came with a different tomato sauce. I didn't care too much for the sauce, but the momo was solid. Goat curry ($16.95) They had 4 spice levels - none, medium, hot, and super hot. We ordered hot. It was perfect, for two Koreans who love heat. The curry was delicious. The one reason I'm giving this place a 4 instead of 5 is that the goat meat was too chewy. It might have been better after stewing for another hour or so. Oh, and they also had chunks of fat (same size chunks as the meat) in there, which we picked out and threw out. Not very appetizing. Lamb Tikka Masala ($16.95) We went with medium heat on this one, and it was really good. I'd even go without any heat next time. This doesn't have to be a spicy dish. It was great creamy and flavorful. The lamb could have been cooked a tad longer imo, but it was better than the goat. I was taking pictures on my way out and the gals working there were looking at me like I was crazy lol. But I noticed that their business wasn't on Yelp yet and wanted to make sure it got there. We need to support local ethnical places like this! Please keep up the great food coming!”

Was a busy night so I'm sure it was just an off day for her. The water on the table in the glass swing top bottle was room temperature and definitely odd for a pub and grill. Maybe keep them in a fridge and bring them out when seating guests? Will definitely come back again to give it another shot. The burger and pretzel cheese curds were tasty.”

“I've been coming to Glen Cafe since it was JA's Cafe back in the 90's. They have a pretty broad menu and they make all of it well, which is a rarity. They serve breakfast until 4 p.m. and I frequently take advantage of that for lunch. Their French toast is phenomenal along with their American fries. For lunch, sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers and other entrees are all great. Their burgers are a little on the greasy side but they are still really good. Their New England clam chowder is the stuff of legends. They have great dinner options with full entrees like meatloaf, Turkey dinner, etc. Dessert is always good- lots of pies, tiramisu, and sundaes. Their food is very reasonably priced and the service is always quick and the staff is very friendly. You'll often see the owners Bob and Carol there and they know all their regulars. I love Glen Cafe!”

“The chicken is cooked fresh! Went thinking they would be a great place for hot dogs but their chicken sandwiches and burgers are delicious. I got the chicken club with pepper jack. Pros: Great food made fresh. Small locally owned establishment that could easily compete with the top Dawgs. The fresh charbroiled chicken breast was awesome. Cons: On the higher side for a lunch/counter order establishment but that extra couple of bucks goes strait into the quality your getting. Environment: Kitchy kind of gave the feel of a chain restaurant but with the friendly faces of local grub. And the food... ???? Tips: Chicken is made to order and never frozen. Same with the beef. The charbroiled taste is perfect and I'd def recommend getting it with cheese.”

“I LOVE this place. Besides having great food the employees are great as well. Joe is my favorite Chef. I LOVE the way Joe’s meals taste. I’ve noticed a difference when others make my order. Joe is the BEST! Joe & the lady who takes your order make your day! Their warm smiles & welcoming attitude make you want to return. No matter how far away you moved.
