Excellent service. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Really a nice gem of a place. Recommend you visit because I will! Like craft cocktails? You will enjoy this place!
We opted for a late lunch at Buckley’s on a day trip to Milwaukee. It’s a nicely decorated, cozy interior, but a bit loud. Our server was very charming and attentive without being invasive. Our orders were flavorful. The bahn mi was good but mostly bread. My daughter’s steak was good as well, but we were both still a bit hungry after our entrees. We are not “super-size eaters” so this is not a common occurrence. We could have ordered desert but had plans for frozen custard. The drink menu looked very interesting. I would go again.
Visited on a warm summer evening. Went for the food, stayed longer for the home made deserts. A bit noisy, but due to the ample crowd that evening. Food was hot, nicely presented, and of a nice serving size. Unusual drinks, outstanding deserts. Great location, outdoor seating, wonderful food, good service. Cozy little restaurant. The duck and the pork were both moist and tender. The duck was not at all greasy. The tuxedo cake and chocolate mousse were decadent.

Buckley's is under renovation and expansion, so it will change significantly before too long. We add in a new addition which we were told would be a private dining room when all the remodeling was done. That said - it did not feel like a new addition. It was comfortable and cozy with a fireplace. We were seated on the second floor (alert - there is no elevator at this time). The room was about half full and my only complaint is that it was loud - not overly loud - but there is very little in the room to muffle sounds. I had a little difficulty understanding our waiter, but that was probably more my aging ears and the timber of his voice. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. We will go back on future visits to Milwaukee.
