Maurer’s Urban Market

Really cute place! Had all the necessities and some fun salad and hot bars.

A bit on the pricey side, but considering that the store is right dab in the middle of the city, it's understandable. Definitely an upscale grocery store with fancy brands. For a city market, the produce selections are quite impressive. The sushi they make for lunch is very good.

It is truly pricy like bread is almost $8. If you are in a pinch maybe.
They do have fresh food and fresh seafood made to order as well. Also there are places to sit inside and outside of the building. It's below apartments so that is truly cool too.

Great place to stop in for lunch, especially if you work downtown. The selection is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. The prepared food (sandwiches, wraps, etc.) are very reasonably priced and you can tell everything is made fresh daily. Some of the best produce I’ve found from any store in Milwaukee as well.

Was staying at a nearby hotel, and it was nice to be able to grab some basics like fruit and yogurt in the morning. Lots of such grocery items, plus prepared foods (I had a good roasted vegetable salad), plus wine/beer. There's a coffee stand next to it that's also good.
