Kabab House

I recently dined at Kebab House, a Mediterranean gem that left an indelible mark on my taste buds. The mix grill platter was a symphony of flavors, each bite transporting me to the vibrant streets of the Kabul Jan - Afghanistan 🇦🇫. From succulent kebabs to perfectly seasoned sides, the taste was nothing short of unforgettable. The ambiance and service complemented the culinary experience, making Kebab House a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic and delightful Mediterranean feast.

It is half self-serve - you order at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. We tried to help by bringing the plates back to the counter when we were done, but I think we are allowed to leave it at the table.

There is nothing awesome about the interior. They might want to put up some decoration at some point? But most importantly, they need to give their tables a really good scrubbing, or use tablecloths. It's sticky.

Customer service was nothing to wow at, but efficient.

Food was awesome.

Beef kofta - if you get this per skewer, it's 4. My favorite. Very tasty.

Chicken tawook - hubby's favorite. (it's like chicken shish kabob. I think kabob refers to beef, and tarok refers to chicken) On the two occasions he had it (part of the mix shawarma grill plate) it was moist and flavorful. Nothing worse than dry chicken, but this one was perfect.

beef shish kabob - very good, but not as flavorful as the kofta (which should be more flavorful by default, lol. It's like comparing steak to sausage)

arabi chicken - I never had this dish before, but it was quite yummy. They make good chicken!!

baba ghanough - ok, but I've had better. I like to order this because I'm not a huge fan of hummus, but actually, their hummus is comparable, so I wouldn't pay extra to get this again (I mean the hummus that comes with the plates)

Rice - meh. And not because I'm on keto. I LOVE mediterranean rice. Before going keto, I would get a plate to share with hubby, let him have all the meats, and I'll just eat the rice. When they're good. Here, nope.

Overall, meats are good, but the sides lack a little something.

This place is a small restaurant that doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside, you're in for a real treat. I had the Mixed Grill and it was amazing. I am so very stuffed. Everything is made fresh, so don't expect a quick meal, but it is worth the wait. I definitely recommend and look forward to my next meal there.

You order at the counter and go sit down and they bring the food to you. The dining room is super nice and everything is clean. But let's talk about the food, it's to die for. Prepared on the spot and so fresh with great ingredients and the flavors are just awesome. Very generous portions too, have a couple future leftover meals to look forward to after buying the chicken shawarma plate!

First time trying this place. I was driving from Chicago and passing by, spotted this place and gave it a try. This place was open late, arrived at about 9pm. The food was good and served hot. The service was pretty fast. I paid about $16 for a plate, it was plenty of food 1 person! You can carry out food or dine-in. The restaurant appeared clean and staff was welcoming and friendly.
