Good City Brewing | Wauwatosa

I went to Good City Brewing for the first time last Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was top notch. She was very attentive and super kind. She had such a friendly demeanor. The service alone is worth a 10. Now as for the food. . . It left nothing to be desired. My friend had a giant pretzel and the vegan chili. Unfortunately, she says it wasn’t good. I had the Reuben sandwich, fries and a side salad. The salad dressing was supposed to be Italian; however, I believe it was just olive oil. Strike #1 . . . The rye bread of my Reuben sandwich was was so hard, I could’ve broke the garage door window with it. Strike #2 . . . The bread was so dry and hard on the edges that I literally could’ve cut the roof of my mouth Strike #3. The fries were good tho’. I wish the food was better. I was really disappointed, and I’m not sure if I will ever go back. I hope nobody ever ask me about it because I can’t lie and I don’t like saying negative things about anyone or anything. Y’all really need to step your “food” game up Good City!!!

Had some of the best service ever here thanks to our waitress Kerry. She had a huge smile on her face the whole time and was very attentive to our table. She was quick to bring us whatever we needed. That type of service makes a place worth going back to! And if you like Cesar salad, definitely get it!! Dressing was delicious.

So, I hate complaining but if it leads to improvement then it’s worthwhile. Ordered chili for carry out and they used containers not meant for a soupy chili. And when you need to wrap one (not sure why not both) in plastic wrap, there’s an issue. Food was good but the mess to get to it makes carry out a turn-off.

Great environment. Had the pilsner and the milk stout and both were good but the milk stout was my favorite. Cheese curds and curry fries to eat. Good experience overall.
