Sze Chuan Restaurant

Having read a glowing review in Milwaukee Magazine (April 2019), I visited Sze Chuan yesterday with a friend. We were prepared to be surprised and delighted and we were, on both counts. We ordered three dishes to share--a cold noodle dish, the scallion pancake and spicy pork dumplings. All were outstanding but the taste/feel memory of the pork dumplings is what remains with me. The dumplings are handmade and are a very soft noodly dough wrapped around a spicy pork ball and then doused in a chili oil sauce. I had asked for our food to be "low to medium" spice and that is what we received. I can't wait to return to try the "pork intestine" dish and so many others. A wonderful wonderful place for adventurous eaters. Located in a strip mall, we enjoyed very good service and excellent food. Good parking, noise level very low at lunch. Highly recommend.

We had the hot pot and it was outstanding! The menu options were vast and everything was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch and we will definitely be going back to try more of their unique offerings. We were enjoying ourselves so much that I completely forgot to snap photos of our beautiful meal!

Over all beautiful little spot, service is quick and food is thoughtfully prepared. I enjoyed my beef and noodle soup with a extra kick of actual hot sauce. Without question I will be back for more.

Enjoyed the food very much + served quickly. Recommend the Twice Cooked Pork,, Tofu, General Tso's Chicken and Crab Rangoon. Something I noticed about the dishes was that there weren't large chopped vegetables. Instead they were thinly sliced which tasted better. You can order online and take out as well.

I thought the food was good and prices reasonable. Spicy dishes are really spicy. They have a very large menu. My Chinese exchange student says it the most authentic tasting Chinese food she has had outside China.
