Holiday Acres Resort on Lake Thompson

Everything was wonderfully prepared and exceptionally flavored. There's some incredible vle talent in that kitchen. The only negative I have is that our poor server was so overwhelmed with menial tasks that she had little to zero time being an ambassador to this establishment. This place should strongly consider hiring bussers so the wait staff can focus attention on the customers.

My family has been coming to Holiday Acres since 1993. There is nothing that I look forward to more every other year than heading up to the peaceful North woods of WI. Whether we are going on one of the organized trail rides, cruising Lake Thompson on the pontoon, or just sitting around the campfire, we always have a great time. We don't know the owners personally, but it feels like we do whenever we see them at the cafe for breakfast or out of the lake. Can't wait to go back in 2021!

The restaurant and resort are beautiful. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet they have on Sunday mornings is very good! If you're looking for a place to visit in Northern Wisconsin, this is a place to go!

A step into the past. Family business with family heart and warmth. Plenty of activities and short ride to trails and more lakes. Lodge was apparently designed by a Frank Lloyd Wright architect and cabins are well furnished for long stays. Popular place for large family gatherings

We have been coming to HAR since I was 13, I raised my kids and now grandkids going to Holiday Acres Resort every summer - everyone plans on “going to the lake” .
The family and “family staff” are like family to us . It’s a beautiful North Woods Resort, with new surprises and old treasures every year. They are are always updating while keeping the family resort alive .
