“I have been eating Friday fish fry here for the last 5 decades. I live in Ohio... but when in the Northwoods my car always ends up at Al Gen's on a Friday nights. “Been coming to this area for many years! Happened to stop here this year after seeing the number of cars parked in the lot. The people here are great, the food was great and the atmosphere was reminiscent of the traditional northern Wisconsin "supper clubs". Also, food prices were reasonable. Walked down to the three cabins for rent on the lake and they were drop dead gorgeous.”

Removing a star for slower service and item on menu they no longer make (salmon tenders) - even server wasn't aware of item not available. Guess what 2/3 of us initially ordered? My teen ordered meatloaf platter that looked fantastic and he gobbled it up. Pulled pork was also great.”

“Stopped here while we were in the area for the Fall Ride, we got rained on but I'd imagine the outdoor patio that overlooks the water would be great on a nice day, I still enjoyed it while it rained as they have a roof that covers part of it. I decided to get some food and it was delicious, they were well prepared for the extra business this weekend. Great staff.”
