“Just finished dinner. For starters, fried smelts and stuffed jalapeño were delicious. Main entree - lamb osso bucco and soft shell crabs were excellent. Never expected soft shell crabs to be so well done so far away from the sea. For dessert, cheesecake with blueberry sauce was done just right, not too sweet and not too dense. Our server, Marijo, was absolutely delightful. The restaurant opened a few days ago. I predict it will do very well.”

“The AB&J bowl was delicious! Just a couple of suggestions.. I had something almost exactly the same in California last week for about the same price but double the portion. I totally agree with smaller portions but maybe have a cheaper/smaller option and a more spendy/larger option? Also, I was really disappointed to walk in and see a load of plastic bottles for the juices. Yes, they are recyclable but keep in mind ONLY ABOUT 9% OF PLASTICS IN THE US are actually recycled. :( I was informed that they are trying to move to glass bottles. That's great! But keep in mind the caps. Take a walk down the beach of Lake Michigan and that's what you'll see a ton of; plastic bottle caps. But overall the quality of the product was good! :) Waste not want not, peeps. Peace.”

“Divinely Delicious. I was melting with happiness as I thoroughly enjoyed each dish I ordered. I got to enjoy the ricotta and mushroom dumplings for appetizer, the sweet potato gnocchi for main meal, and then completed the perfect meal with olive oil cake with chocolate sauce. Phenomenal food and service. I will definitely be coming back.”

“Attached to The American Club, the Horse & Plow is a casual bar and grill. The decor is charming, definitely not your typical sports bar! The menu isn't huge but offers a nice variety including a bison burger, blackened tuna wrap, Cobb salad, club sandwich and cheddar cheese soup. We experienced excellent service and good food. Insider tip: You can enter through the hotel or a not-too-obvious entrance directly into the Horse & Plow. PS The sweet potato fries are terrific!”

“Fine dining in an elegant setting. An innovative menu that always has interesting wine pairings available. It is pricey, but the quality and service are top notch. Very good wine list. The immigrant room is in the American club resort, a premiere resort that takes a back seat to none. While the pairings of wine and food are good, they could be better. I prefer the pairings at Sanford's in milwaukee, which seem more inspired and surprising.”

“This place is so warm and rustic. Every time we go we sit near the fireplace. Depending on the season it can be rather quiet or bustling with folks. The menu isn't overwhelming and the food is delicious. We've never ordered wine, but the cocktails are all so tasty.”
