Good Day Cafe

The El Patron Skillet is absolutely AMAZING!!!! This is so close to where I live and this place is so wonderful! Even the pancakes are so fluffy and yummy! I even purchased their house made jam because it was so yummy!! 😋🤤

Staff were all lovely, and I got a surprisingly good cup of coffee. Cafe is clean and cute - no sticky tables or dirty floors. I came in early Sunday on a whim, and then again on Monday morning and it was quiet both times. At full capacity, I imagine it'd get a little rowdy since the dining area is pretty full of tables.

Prices are what I'd expect at a diner - not too high and you get a good amount of food - and do note that you can get a discount by paying in cash (otherwise there is a card fee included).

Food was yummy. I've had the yogurt parfait (more unsweetened yogurt than I expected, but balanced nicely with the honey, fruit, and granola topping), a two-egg combo, and the French toast. I was pleasantly surprised that the side of fruit had melon, berries, grapes, an orange slice, and pineapple. Sadly, there was no soy milk/lactaid/dairy alternatives to drink, but there were lots of other drink options and non-dairy coffee creamer.

Bathroom was clean and smelled pleasant, and I liked that there were both hand dryers and paper towels. Also, the soap smelled nice and wasn't too runny, which is such a small thing but I appreciated it.

Food took a little bit too get there, but it was PACKED, and for good reason. I have the Florentine and it was too die for. The baby reds are so flavorful but they don’t feel too “heavy” as hash browns would. I’m definitely going to go back. I loved my waitress as well.

Good day cafe has recently opened in a location that has historically had a lot of turn around. They're renovated everything - everything is clean, it smells like nothing (which is good). The table, chairs, and booths are all new. It was a good choice to renovate everything. The menu has a lot of options and is pretty friendly to the picky family. They don't have hash browns which I was skeptical of, but the baby red potatoes are actually similar to hash browns and are delicious. I had the breakfast burrito with 1 slice of the cinnamon roll french toast, and my husband had an meat lovers omelette with a side of sour dough toast. Their homemade 4 berry jam is delicious, and honestly all of the food was really good. The French toast was good as well but I was not a fan of the frosting/syrup that comes with it (it was a cream cheese base it seemed like). The restaurant was refreshingly cold. The dinner black coffee was hot and fresh. The service was a little slower than normal, but that may be because our server was about to be cut and I am sure she had other duties to fulfill. The manager/host/owner? lady was really nice. All of the servers and hosts were attentive and helpful with smiles on their faces. This is a nice little place and I hope it stays around longer than the previous businesses that have been in this location.
