The Pub

This was our first time here and it was hard to say if we liked it or not. On the one hand the food was very good. I had the Irish stew and it was excellent. Everyone else liked what they had as well. Our waitress was very nice and very attentive. However the service was EXTREMELY slow. It took forever for our food to arrive. In the end, they apologized and comp'd our drinks (without us asking or complaining). So that made up for the slow service. But there was also a table of 8 very loud drunks next to us. We were more or less unable to converse at our table because they were so loud and obnoxious. Not much the restaurant could do about it but still it made our dinner unpleasant. All in all, I'd say it was a worthwhile experience and I'd be willing to give the place another chance.

The best corned beef I've had in a very long time! The Pub itself is adorable, with 4...5? "Snugs" to have supper in and linger. Bernie and Aelred are the best, warmest hosts. The fish fry is outstanding too. Tell them that Ann sent you! Slainte.

Been here many times. Ambiance is nice. Food quality varies. Friendliness of staff also varies. I sometimes get the feeling that my presence there is a burden. Live music Thursday evenings.

We always find ourselves starting here on our weekend downtown fun. The crowd is always lighthearted and it holds a welcoming, calm, yet fun atmosphere. Finally a place where you put your cell phone away and hold a conversation. Even though I walk in with a small group, I always find myself chatting with someone new nearby. Cocktails are beautifully made. The gentleman that is there every weekend is delightful. I am 30 yrs old and can bring friends, family, co-workers and its always fitting. Food is wonderful, but we go for the unique bar experience usually. Their dining area is always full, as it should be! A must stop in oconomowoc.
