It is a very peaceful place with beautiful scenery to enjoy and stay in the well maintained cabins, it has been a life changing experience for our whole family. Fr. Mario and Ivan are the nicest and hardest workers you’ll ever meet. Thank you and God bless your work always.

It is a wonderful place to spend time in prayer. The surroundings are marvellous. I am very happy and thankful to the Carmelites.

The coming of the Camelites to this long-neglected, "hidden gem" of a retreat centre is a true "God-send." My wife and I have attended the inauguration, a weekend retreat, and a one-day retreat already. Their focus is on our relationship with God, and how we can improve that along with our relationship with others. The Friars are facing a monumental task in trying to work out all the details; but they are the new stewards of the site, and I support their right to set policy and to make decisions.

It was a great place until Fr. Alfredo he became a boss on this place. Fr Mario is ok - he is friendly for people and open to all. But Fr Alfredo behaves like owner of this place. And he is not. This place is for all people. Should be open like was Ephphatha House.

This place is now named Mount Carmel Spirituality Centre, still under the Archdiocese of Edmonton, but the direction of the Carmelites.

Lovely hideout for a retreat away from the city. Lakeside cabins, chapel, cafeteria, library, and places to pray and walk in the wilderness.
