My wife and my friends, John and Susan, fished with Andres and his team for 3 days this past week. My wife said the experience with Andres was the best day fishing she had ever enjoyed. She said the difference was that the guides asked her what she wanted and actually listened. They let her sight see, bird watch, take pictures and did not push the fishing until she wanted it. On the flip side, I have fished all over the world for many years and Andres and his team were the best team of guides I have fished with. Great lunches, every detail considered, excellent equipment and truly fun client-focused people. We will be back!

Our family finished with Andreas, and two of his guides, Parker and Tanner over a few days and Fernie BC on the Elk River. Regardless of the fact that fishing was AMAZING, the guides were absolutely first class. My perspective is having fished all over the world with dozens of guides and the guiding experience was top class. They were all very patient with my family on the river and everyone came away better fly-fishers (it was the first float for the rest of my family, wife and 12 & 16 yr old boys). A fun and lighthearted coaching style is critical to a good experience and then there is putting you on the fish…. And oh my, did that happen. The best dry fly days (literally all day) I’ve ever had and sprinkle in some streamers in Bull trout pools and you have a recipe for amazing days in the boat! Lastly, I was a bit skeptical when I saw the comment about a “gourmet” meal until he pulled out a stove and cooked up the chicken and French press coffee! We’ll be planning Patagonia next!

I spent three incredible days fly fishing the Elk River, Michel Creek, and the Saint Mary's River in Fernie, BC with Andres Gonzalez and Tanner Faith in July 2023. They do an incredible job as a boutique fly fishing guide service and I cannot recommend them highly enough. It's a world class operation. We caught far more than our fair share of trout of all shapes and sizes, but I also learned a tremendous amount about reading the water, improving my cast and set, selecting flies, and navigating the river.

Andres is also a very experienced filmmaker, so I learned an amazing amount about using a GoPro, an iPhone and even a DJI drone to capture a lot of the action. This is a new hobby for me, so his video and phone recording insights were a special and very unique part of the three days for me. I'm sure not all his clients care about this but for me it was great to go deep with him.

Both Andres and Tanner are patient teachers with the right balance of tranquility and positive energy. I would fish with them again in Patagonia or Fernie in a heartbeat and I consider them among the best guides I've fished with.

Andres and Tanner hosted a fantastic week in Patagonia for our group of 3. The experience was curated and authentic, and the Guides went above and beyond on several occasions.

Highlights from the trip include the landscape and setting of each water we fished, Andres' top-notch shore lunches, the knowledge and experience of the guides - and of course the quality of the fishing! Would highly recommend Andres and his Team to anyone looking for a proper Patagonia fly fishing experience.

Andres is a fabulous fishing guide. My husband and I had a great time fishing the Elk river with him. He took the time to find the right fly whenever the fish weren’t biting and was patient with our first experience fishing from a drift boat. Food was outstanding. We caught lots of fish and are ready to go again.
