Dr. Jose L. Goncalves LTD

We would have never met Dr. Goncalves had I not required an emergency C-section unexpectedly. He did a fabulous job, I have minimal scaring. His bedside manner is amazing and was incredibly kind. He was very straight forward about what the procedure would entail/ recovery would be like , I appreciate that in medical care.

He visited my daughter and I the following day even though we were under the care of the midwife clinic.

At my six week checkup post casearan the office is like a home, and the MOA is absolutely fabulous and accommodating.

Definitely recommend to others seeking obgyn services.

Our family will always feel very fortunate and very grateful that Dr. Jose Goncalves happened to be on-call the night I went into labour with our son. We wouldn’t hesitate to refer any of our friends to him should they need his services and knowledge. His reception team is also very helpful and friendly. Annelien bent over backwards to accommodate us in the short time frame we needed to get in for a follow up. He is incredibly talented, experienced and knowledgeable OBGYN. Dr. Goncalves stepped in to assist our midwives when we were faced with complications. He was respectful while communicating the necessary and immediate course of action needed to ensure that our baby and I remained safe. Like our midwives, he always made sure that I was included in any decisions that needed to be made.

His bedside manner during the emergency as well as post-partum was professional, kind and positive. Even though I was in the care of the midwives, he visited us the following day to make sure that both our baby and I were recovering and healing well. I needed him to walk me through what happened during the birth and he did so with empathy, authenticity and clarity.

He was very clear in his post-care instructions to ensure that I healed successfully from the physical trauma. We appreciated his honest opinions. He didn’t hesitate to offer further explanation or insight if either myself or my husband needed them. When we experienced a difference of opinion with a nurse, he was very professional & diplomatic when he shared his suggestion (which was in alignment with what our midwives were instructing) and did not put down the nurse’s suggestion. Dr. Goncalves is a great asset to our health community.

Caring and informative Not pushy if you don’t agree with what he may suggest surgery that was done 4 years ago help greatly I respect him

Dr. Goncalves is an exceptional professional in my opinion, not only
because of his knowledge and skill as a surgeon but because of his manner of speaking with his patients and explaining their personal medical issues. Ladies of my generation, (over 80), are not comfortable discussing our female problems but Dr. Goncalves is able to make one feel no embarrassment and relieved to be on a road to recovery. We are
grateful to have such a fine Specialist in our community..

When I first entered Dr. Goncalves office...I felt like I had entered a warm and inviting home. Loved the decor and felt comfortable before I even saw him. Dr. Goncalves is very professional and knowledgeable but at the same time he is caring and understanding which made my examination more comfortable. He explained everything to me, before, during and after the examination so I felt totally at ease. During my follow-up appointment, he again explained everything to me in a very caring way. I would highly recommend Dr. Goncalves as my whole experience was professional yet comfortable and I felt I was in good hands.
