Avondale Sky Winery

Very cute winery! Inside of an old church. The dessert wine was my favorite!

The wine is delicious. But the restaurant - very tiny portions for the price, ran out of almost everything we tried to order (even of basic stuff like the sourdough bread!), and nothing extraordinary in taste. The lawn beside the patio was overgrown with weed and dandelions, not fitting for a classy winery.

The servers were very nice though.

Charming property and unique building (old church they floated down the river at high tide). Friendly staff are happy to help. Unique selection of experimental small lot wines. Always a pleasure visiting!

Firstly, the property is really nice. They old converted church just makes the feel of the place unique.
Secondly, they had some excellent wines! Do a tasting, and learn for yourself! The younger girl who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and sweet. They have lots more than just wine to purchase. Be sure to make this one of your stops in NS wine country.

Beautiful winery! I have been touring many around the province, and this is by far my favourite! Friendly staff. Maggie, Hannah, and Alana were all excellent! Great service, great wine. Will definitely return.
