Three Sheeps to the Wind Cottage

Had an amazing five days this month. This property has absolutely everything needed to fully enjoy yourself. Beautiful view of Chester Basin. Very private yet close to grocery and other shops . Melissa was a wonderful hostess. Can’t wait to return and happily recommend this fabulous get away.

The perfect vacation home--our only regret is that we could not stayed longer! The cottage has been lovingly restored, and is the perfect base for exploring the South Shore. We had such a great time--the cottage is so beautiful (I mean seriously beautiful) and Melissa is the perfect host. You could not hope for a prettier setting. My children actually complained when we would go out to visit local sights because they just wanted to hang out at the cottage and fool around on the canoe. Thanks for everything, Melissa--we can't wait to come back!

"We had a wonderful and relaxing time at this very beautiful house. The communication with the host was excellent and the property was even better than described. It is bright with oversize floor to ceiling windows, at least four outside sitting areas and is quiet and very tastefully decorated. For less than the price of a hotel room we had a wonderful retreat with our own dock on a quiet inlet. It is close to the many attractions we like to visit in Nova Scotia including Carters beach, Mill Village and is VERY close to Chester town, Mahone Bay and Lunenberg. This is probably the nicest property I have stayed at no matter the booking method- and an excellent value for money. The bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths and kitchen are sparkling clean and new and everything we needed was right at our fingertips. It is also close to a very good grocery store, a wine store, and a very nice walking trail. We had planned on going out for dinner one night of the four we were there however it was too tempting to just turn the Adirondak chairs on the dock to look down the bay and then uncork a bottle of fine wine and just lean back and unwind. The house is close to everything yet the nearest neighboring houses are nice and far away. I had no problem with cell signal and there were two TV's - which we avoided in lieu of the peace and quiet. I will definitely return when we come back to the South shore - and even Halifax." Robert Wood, Ont, Canada. May 2016
