Great location, comfortable room, nice showers. No breakfast but granola bars were provided. The wifi wasn't able to reach the second floor at all. BE AWARE the ceiling and walls are very thin. The people above us kept me up with earplugs in... I'm not sure how much furniture they were rearranging but it really impacted our stay and view of the lodge.

Nice staff. Very bare facilities. Walk up stairs. No elevator. Air conditioned only in hall parlors each level. No tv in room. Weak WiFi. Came back to find our door open with no attendants around anywhere and both front and back door open!

Lovely historic lodging house built circa 1863; dripping with nostalgic character and run by the lovely Andrea who will do anything she can to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. There is a convenience store right across the street with a Burger King inside it in case you need candy, chicken & chips, beef jerky, or a milkshake at odd hours, and in literally any direction you take, you’ll end up in a wonderful part of town.

As someone who has a neuro disability and can’t drive, this makes me really appreciate the Bluenose’s brilliantly placed location: I can explore the town, and when the nerves in my leg start to cause me bother, it’s not a long way back to the inn (though there are two local taxicab companies if that were ever an issue).

The rooms are charmingly decorated, the grounds are well kept, and the street looks straight out of my 1970’s childhood ~ Just the type of place I sought out to avoid the coldness and unfeeling of a modern, corporate, hotel chain.

Have stayed twice now, once in 2017 and again in June 2019. The innkeeper, Andrea is friendly and knowledgeable. The room was homey and well appointed- and as of now (2019) they are air conditioned! A great location close to downtown with plenty of parking. I’ll definitely be back!
