Windsor/Essex County Humane Society

This place is NOT a pet store. You're rehoming animals. They do their best to find an animal that suites your family and home. You may be turned down for an animal you like, but that's just what's best for both of you. They helped me adopt my sweet old dog; Chuck. He's the perfect fit for our family.

I had the unfortunate duty of having to surrender my dog that I adopted 6 months previously from the humane society during the pandemic
I didn't have a meet and greet.
Murphy was dropped off to my house and that was that. Long story short. After 6 months I knew that I didn't have the strength to keep up with him. The people at the humane society were very kind and understanding. Murphy found a new home very quickly. I'm so happy that I made the right decision. Even though my heart still hurts, I know he is in better hands.

The staff is extremely polite and professional. I adopted a beautiful cat for the first time and they made me feel very comfortable in the adoption process!

Great work done on my class A mountainaire. Paul and staff were very attentive to my needs and requests. Finished the work in a timely manner. Great work guys. Thanks, will definitely be back for service even though its a 2 hour drive!!
