The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls

Plus points are that the price was good and if you get a room with a view of the Falls then it's pretty special. Is also close to all the nearby attractions. Negatives would be that the rooms are a little tired and could do with a spruce up. If you get a jacuzzi room there's no bathroom door... And parking is $35 PER DAY!!!!! Park in the casino round the corner as its only $5.

Clean, well operated, great view of the Falls from most south-facing rooms. 5 minute walk to casino. Be aware that advertised pricing does not include N.F. taxes, parking, and other hidden extras. And the TV is small and cheap. But all in all, decent value in an overpriced town.

We enjoyed our stay here. It's not a 5 stars hotel, but for the price you can't go wrong. Fantastic location, good service and our room had a nice view to the falls. Parking was extra $35.00 per night.

Wow what a view! Definitely worth the extra to stay in a Falls View room. As soon as we walked into the room we were blown away with the view out of the full length panoramic windows. Other than leaving the room to eat and go closer to the falls (the incline railway is opposite the hotel) we simply stayed in to sit, relax and enjoy the view. The room was very comfortable and the bubble jet bathtub was a nice extra.
At night time the Falls are all lit up so enjoy the view at all times of day! Complimentary coffee in the lobby.

I loved this hotel! It has got to have the best view of the falls! We didn't even turn the t.v. on in the mornings. We just opened the shades and drank our coffee looking at one of Mother Nature's greatest creations. On top of all that, the room was super clean and the staff was great! This is the only hotel I will use on future trips back to Niagara Falls.
