Great resort. Beautiful place and surrounding area. Great staff. The horseback riding there was amazing. The buffet for dinner and breakfast was very good.

The area is beautiful! Rooms are a bit dated but the food is very well prepared, with good variety to pick from! The servers and kitchen staff were very accommodating!

Great place for families! You can always find things to complain about every place you go, but what you get here is very good, factor the price and this is an unbeatable value. We had a lot of fun. In the end what matters is whether you came to enjoy. If you're looking to get pampered, then go to a brand name resort, pay 3 or more times as much and get an artificial "5 stars" experience. The rooms were clean and warm, the staff always nice and attentive, the food was very good and plentiful, they have a ski shop that's excellently stocked with brand name equipment for winter activities which you borrow for free, the indoor pool and Jacuzzi were a lot of fun, they have tons of board games to lend, the toboggan hill provided loads of entertainment, and more. The place is old and it shows, but it's well maintained so who cares, we actually liked the fact that it's been there for 110 years. There is no option to lunch other than a few takeout items, so be prepared, either bring things or eat out (you can find a lot of options in a 20-30 min by car radius, so it takes some time but no big deal). Internet is on the slower side so if you want to see a movie you'll probably need your cell data. Every place has it's pros and cons, and surely you can pay (a lot) to get almost everything somewhere else. But if you're in the 99% of us, this place is excellent for an excellent price and we thoroughly enjoyed. The kids were crying when we left and we keep thinking of coming back in the summer - that says it all. Very recommended!

Excellent event host (Taylor Cup Pond Hockey Tournament for Princess Margaret Hospital). Food is amazing and all the staff are very professional and welcoming. Would come back in the summer as well. Reasonally priced.
