Before moving into our home, we wanted our entire house painted (2200 square feet, excluding basement). After reading many HomeStars reviews, I had sent out request for quotes to a few painters. Alex was the first to respond with a very competitive quote. He was very prompt in responding to my questions and made communication very easy. I hired Emerald Painting Service because Alex was able to work with my schedule and the positive reviews that mentioned his quality of his work. Once I accepted his quote, we did an onsite visit to review the job in detail and get a better idea of pricing.
Our job involved painting walls, trims, doors, ceilings and exterior doors plus garage floor. Alex used a paint sprayer for the doors, trims and ceilings and this produced a beautiful finish. Our job also involved removing wallpaper, patching up a lot of nail holes (from the previous owner), patching up areas after our flooring renovation and taking down lots of shelving. As the project progressed, I would notice additional areas I wanted painted and Alex was very open and accommodating. The previous homeowner had used a lot of darker colours which was contrast to my palette of whites and light greys. Some of the rooms required 3 coats!
Alex did an amazing job and I was very impressed with his attention to detail. He definitely exceeded my expectations! I would definitely use Emerald Painting Service again and would highly recommend their services.

We wanted to paint our house and saw that Emerald had painted at a friends house. We got the number and called Alex. He came by on Good Friday. Was very professional. Did a walk around the house and pointed out areas that need fixing (ie. Holes, cracks, nail pops, etc). He said he will fix and for us to use a green tape on areas that we find and want fixed. Alex provided us with a quote with and without painting. He also suggested a colour that would work for us. We went with his choice and had him supply the paint. Alex estimated 2 days and we scheduled a date. Alex called us a couple of days before coming and he said he will be able to come in a day earlier than planned. Alex came in and completed the job in 2 days. He had to paint the main floor, room above the garage, and upper level hallway. We also had him paint all the trims, baseboards and doors. We were very pleased with his work and would recommend him.
