There is a waterfront boardwalk near the battery, it’s a very nice walk. Battery itself is pretty small.

Lovely large park with so many attractions. First being the wonderful boardwalk along the water. There's a pool, an ice cream shop and so much green space. Then you get the history with cannons on site.

Historic battery placement set up in 1805; the entry is open and free. There's a small hill with stairs to get up, several cannons, memorials, and plaques. There is a small fence around the hill.

Great place to watch gun salutes.
Amazing views of the many cruise liners coming and going into the Charlottetown harbor.
A great free parking area to start a walk along the Victoria park boardwalk, or into Charlottetown downtown area.

After seeing the beautiful reviews and renewal of this site I just had to visit, Unfortunately it seems to have been forgotten about by the local government. Hills seem to be eroding, the cannons are in disrepair/not mounted and the information plaques could use a reprint. I don't regret going but it was a shame it's not being maintained how the site deserves.
