Skyline Divide Trailhead

Long drive back road ...fun..snow in June ...trail cover d

Amazing day at the summit of Skyline Divide. 2 miles semi hard hike to the top from 4400 ft at trailhead to the summit at 6000 ft above sea level. The hard work paid off!! Couldn't get any better than that to see the grandeur and majestic of Mount Baker with your own eyes. It was truly spectacular. God is amazing to give us such beauty....
Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan to the East, Strait of Georgia mountains of Vancouver Island to the West , and Canada Coastal Range on full views.

P/s This trip was on August 22, 2017 please bring bug spray. Tons of flies on the trails.

Also going there on weekdays is better than weekends less crowds. Compact car is doable.

Little bit of roadwork on the highway, not a big deal!

The 12 miles dirt road after the main highway to the trailhead wasn't bad at all...
Small compact car will do just fine, but check your break for driving downhills on your way back!

Even on a rainy day this is still one of my most favorite places in the north Cascades. If you look real hard there is a nice black bear in the picture.

On a good view day it’s reminiscent of the views of sunrise at rainier, though you’re not as close to the mountain

Don't forget the bug spray! Gorgeous views. Trail is in great shape, bumpy ride with a lot of pot holes on the way do up.
