Erie Belle Restaurant - house of fish 'n chips

Nice little place in Kincardine. Fish and chips was all I got. A bit greasy and the batter was too thick for my liking. Good coffee.

Odd quirk of mine: I save my favourite parts of every meal to eat last. Normally that's fries, wherever I go. But not here. At Erie Belle the fried perch from the Seafood Platter is always the last to go down! Fantastic value too! And that's to take nothing from their banging fries, too!

Love this place! We eat in and take-out, probably more than we should. We are Brits and finding a good place for a taste of back home "chippy food" is a must. We always enjoy the fish and chips. The batter is nicely crisp with good flavour and I love the chips. Add a side of mushy peas and a bitter-shandy and I am a happy thing. They used to do a pie and chips, which I loved -sadly no more. Front of house and back of house staff are always friendly and professional and provide great service no matter how busy. They are a credit to the Erie Belle. I look forward to many more meals!

I really liked the batter on the fish and chips. Really crispy but not oily. Lots of flavour. The creamy coleslaw was great. The deep fried clams and calamari were also quite tasty. Definitely try it if you're in the area.

I have Ate her many times over the years and make it a point to stop in for the fish and chips when in Kincardine for the car show. There are always lots of people here and that certainly tells you that the food is great. After 5pm good luck getting a seat. I have been known to eat here for supper then get a take out order to take all the way back to Cambridge for my supper the next day. The fish is great. I prefer to sit indoors rather than out. Nice decor and atmosphere. I always stop in here and will continue to do so, possibly as early as this Friday night for the car show.
