The Grey Thornbury

The Grey not only provides a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a meal with family/friends right on the water, but also has an amazing selection of meals (sourced locally) and wines. Everything I've tried so far is amazing and I look forward to trying more of the menu! The staff at the Grey are all so kind and really care about the service. Overall great experiences, highly recommend!

We went to the restaurant one weekend. Had a lovely lunch. Beautiful minimal interior, friendly staff. The menu was tasteful. At the end of our meal, I inquired the catering service for my upcoming event. Even though they are new, have not yet fully started the catering. The owner was very accommodating. They planned the menu for our event. Packed everything beautifully for our pickup. There was a generous amount of food for 16 of us. Everyone enjoyed it. Happy to discover this gem in Thornbury. Highly recommended!

Great looking place at a fabulous location. The good tastes awesome too ! The staff is super friendly. Rory the bartender and others have travelled so are great to talk to. A definite place to visit in Thornbury.

I'm torn. The food is amazing, delicious, fresh, you can tell there's a lot of care put into it. But the service. Oh my. No hostess, we stood aimlessly for 5 minutes befote we approached the bar to inquire how to get seated. Finally, we got our seats. Live music. Amazing! Waitress comes and practically throws utensils at us. One word answers. Very monotone. Not very welcoming at all..

I keep coming back for the burger, but I sincerely hope they can work out the kinks in service, it takes away a lot from the experience one would expect of lakeside dining.

Simply amazing. The Tagliatelle pasta and the Squash Curry are must haves. Make sure to try the Kale salad as a starter. All dishes had great flavours. 10/10 would visit again. Can't wait to sit out on the patio during the summer!
