Food choices being as restricted as they are in this part of the world, a good diner place. Good basic food, no issue with service or anything else. Generally speaking once you get north of highway 7, good luck finding something that stands out on the plus side. The Mill Pond does!

Cozy country restaurant with nice view of mirror lake. Menu has a great variety, there is something for everyone. Food is great quality and prices are very reasonable.

There's nothing better after a long day of absolutely shredding trails like a nice delicious meal at The Mill Pond. The cozy quaint interior as well as the openness and absolutely gorgeous and picturesque scenery that surrounds it invites you, no, beckons you to come in for a homely cooked breakfast prepared by hands that were absolutely blessed by angels. Their breakfast burger was ASTOUNDING. A juicy, perfectly grilled sausage patty smothered in the finest cheese, topped off with a perfectly fried egg? What more could you ask for? At The Mill Pond, you get nothing but the best. You're family at The Mill Pond. And that breakfast burger? The one smother is delicious top quality cheese and topped with a grade A fried egg? You gotta try it.

So yeah, it was about 6 hours after I finished my last bowl of loops and the need to eat again arrived with a vengeance. I ordered my crew back to the van and we headed over to The Mill Pond. Chad, my first officer, ordered the Breakfast Burger SMOTHERED in cheese. Like a shark tearing into an overweight surfer, Chad's eyes rolled back into his head as he vaporized his breakfast. Steve, my Science Officer and Controller of Cassette Tapes, decided on an omelette SMOTHERED in cheese with a side of extra Canadian Bacon. Steve, usually a taciturn chap - unless your talking about vintage analog synths - started rambling excitedly about his breakfast so much that an elderly man two tables over threw his plate at Steve's head and told him to shut up. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich SMOTHERED in cheese. Let me tell, you, the food overlords at The Mill Pond know exactly what they're doing. My sandwich was like receiving a gift from a celestial visitor. Bravo.

Days later, the newspapers reported our capture by a local police department after dumb-old Steve decided to strap himself to the top of the van as we drove through a small town 40 miles north of the border.

After a long few nights of work at the Minden Dump and battling sewer water, it only makes sense to pop into the Mill Pond and order a Breakfast Burger. Smothered in cheese.. topped off with a fried egg? You gotta try it. Whether you're in the area or across the Province I highly recommend dropping everything and getting yourself in line at the Mill Pond.
