The Ashton Pub

Address: 113 Old Mill Rd, Ashton, ON K0A 1B0, Canada

Restaurant

“As a restaurant I give this 3 stars because the food is ok. They do have some things that are more interesting than the usually pub fair. We had the Cornish pastie which is like an Irish meat pie. The fish and chips are ok lots of batter and a bit greasy. I should've just had one piece! But let's face it, I think everyone comes to the Ashton pub for the drive, the atmosphere, and the beer. Love the fact you can get tasters. Love that you can buy a growler to take home, be sure and save your bottle though it's a 10$ deposit. So the beer is great and the atmosphere make this a great place to get out of the city and hang with your friends. The patio is even better now that they covered it and have netting up to keep bugs out. Also if you come on a fall Friday you can go across the lot to the Ashton farmers market and see some crafts, wares and veg for sale. Also it's worth it to go to the corner store across the raid for more local crafts, gifts and treats!”

Generations Inn

Address: 717 Lake Park Rd, Carleton Place, ON K7C 3P2, Canada

Restaurant

“A hidden gem on the shore of Mississippi Lake. A beautiful location, warm ambience, and delicious food. Prices are about what you’d expect for a better than average restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and professional. She even went and found my mothers hat when she called to see if she’d left it there, and remembered me by face when I picked it up the next day.”
