Axe & Arrow Gastropub

Cool little spot in Smiths Falls. Food was great, service was excellent. The only downside is the typical gastro pub trend of baby beers ( looked like a 14oz glass) at full pint pricing.

Good food and very friendly service. The portion sizes are also very generous.

My 21 year old son and I were on our way to Ottawa and decided to take the more scenic route and we are glad we did. Finding the Axe and Arrow was a gem of a find. The service was excellent, beverages made with great care and the food was beyond our expectations. I believe that my new route from Bolton to Ottawa will now always include a visit to Smith Falls and the Axe and Arrow.

The server was very pleasant.
We ordered oysters as an appetizer and arrived after the entree.
...Although it is the first time I ever had oysters for dessert! And the wrong meal came for my husband. They did comp his meal and apologize for the oysters.

Finally got a chance to go in last Saturday and give it a shot from all the great things I’ve heard. And word of mouth didn’t lie! I’m a person with a very sophisticated palette and the food was outstanding and the service even better! I felt the menu had great variety and the portion sizes are what you’re paying for. It’s really nice to be able to go to a place where I can leave and not be hungry 30 mins later without spending a lot of $$. I feel it’s one of the best places to eat in Smiths Falls next to Cafe Whim. And I’m sure the fish and chip place opening will be outstanding also. Do yourself a favour and go in hungry so you can enjoy as much as possible!
