Bud's on the Bay

Bud's on the Bay is a no frills bar that serves a straight menu with straight talk and cheerful service. Commanding a prime situation in Brockville's Historic District, the bar features a conventional lounge bar and also rooftop tables which afford views of the St Lawrence River. Hamburgers and other dishes looked good, the cocktail menu was satisfactory, and beers were good. Nice find.

Can't beat the view of the river from the patio! Fairly small menu but you can definitely find a good meal choice. Food and drinks were good. Reasonably priced

The flame-grilled shrimp was excellent, and the key lime pie dessert was AMAZING. Loved the atmosphere, loved the food, and our waitress Zoe was one of the best I've ever had! In the 3 days my husband and I were there, we went to Bud's 5 times. Our breakfast club was great, and our burger for lunch was simple, but delicious!
We will be going back anytime we're headed towards Toronto from Mtl.

Good service, staff friendly. A couple issues prevent a five star rating, buds on the bay smells like a pub, stale beer and liquor. Table was sticky. Ordered standard breakfast over easy yolks were pretty solid. Coffee is bitter, toast had cheap flavoured margarine spread, for an 11 dollar breakfast tbey could step up the game a little.

Charming little location on the water! Amazing fish and chips! The batter was crispy and the fish was flaky! Fries were delicious. Bathrooms definitely needed fixing and cleaning but other than that a great spot to have lunch!
