Hungarian Restaurant "Aranka Csárda"

When I visited on Friday night I felt like this was the best restaurant food I have ever had! It felt like visiting grandma's kitchen. The goulash and the beef stew were beyond delicious and melting in the mouth. Cabbage rolls were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Fresh crapes with homemade jam made the meal perfect. Service was very friendly and prices are reasonable. On Sunday night I felt like they did not care about freshness in food. Considering they are closed on Mondays it looked like they were serving leftovers. We had the exact same order but it tasted differently. Crepes were absolutely horrible. They were cold and like rubber. When I told the server that those were stale she confirmed they were not cooked then. I was ready to give 5 stars on Friday but the consistency is not there.

Very friendly place with delicious food. This place offers authentic home cooked Hungarian food. The cabbage rolls were amazing but so was everything we ordered. Highly reccomend to everyone in that area. Too bad its in the countryside, otherwise more people in London (including us) would come to eat here more often.

Pleasant surprise coming across this place. A little ways out of the city, but worth the drive. Real good food at quite reasonably prices. We had the Aranka platter, subbed out couple of the sides (spatzel for fries, red cabbage for mixed veg), and crepes for dessert. Will need to go back to try cabbage rolls and more Hungarian dishes. Very hospitable, friendly owner.

Amazing food, amazing service. Great owners. After living in the area for 2 years my wife and I finally tried this place and thank the lord we did. Best cabbage rolls I've ever had and we will be back. Best restaurant we have been to since we moved here in London/Lambeth

Amazing fries! Traditional fresh food. Breathtaking location. If you haven't eaten here yet you have to try it. It's like going to Hungary in Europe without ever having to board a flight.
