The Italian House Pizzeria

We hadn't ordered from The Italian House for a while (no real reason other than just .. didn't), but decided to give them another try.

We ordered 2 pizzas and some Parm Buffalo Butter chicken wings. The wings were quite tasty and spicy. I would definitely have those again.

The pizza was ok, but was not really what we ordered. We asked for pepperoni and bacon strips (I even specified NOT bacon crumble). Before I placed our order, I asked and confirmed twice that they had bacon strips and not crumble, and twice it was confirmed that I would get bacon strips. So I placed the order and before hanging up, the gentleman on the phone confirmed it was bacon strips. So I think great, should be good. He then tells me it should be 30-40 minutes. I thought.. that's kind of a long time for a pickup order, but hey they must be busy. That's a good sign.

So I arrive 35 minutes later and I'm told "You're late". So I proceeded to explain that I was told on the phone that it would be 30-40 minutes. He apologized and said it was a new employee, but my order was actually ready 15 minutes ago.

I was good about it, and thought "sure no problem", these things happen.

I get home, and the pizza was warm, but did not really have that fresh look to it any more as it had been in a cardboard box, on top of an oven for about 15 minutes. I could have lived with that, except that of course... no bacon strips. Instead I got the bacon crumble I had confirmed SEVERAL times over the phone that I did NOT want.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if I thought the pizza was just "ok" because it was, or if it had more to do with I was soured by the experience.

At this point I'm not sure if we will give them another try or not. I have to say at this point, I feel a little disappointed with the experience.

They make very delicious pizzas. I usually order from this place. They serves the best pizzas. The workers are also very kind and friendly. So ,i think everyone should try their pizzas.

If you're looking for a thinner crust this is the best place I've found in London.

Ingredients seemed high quality and the service when I picked up the pizza was awesome.

Would definitely recommend and I'll be showing this place to out of town friends looking for good pizza.

We use fresh local ingredients and make as much as we can inside our Pizzeria from scratch! We also offer gluten free and vegan friendly food! We roast mushrooms and onions, make our own meatballs and sausage. Thank you for giving us a try!'

Finally got around to trying this place and the food was excellent! I ordered pasta and wings. Used the online ordering system with no problems. When I first pulled up definitely thought it was your typical pizza joint trying to make other food. After the first bite I realized I was wrong and the food was delicious! Would definitely go back there again. Pricing is comparable to other places. You get a decent amount of pasta.
