Kristy's Restaurant

A casual place ‘where everybody knows your name’. Located in an area with many seniors, it appears a favourite for the elderly. Ordered fish and chips. Really enjoyed the fish (soft as butter) and the outstanding fries. The bike parking is invisible unfortunately. If you are visiting Ottawa, you want to visit this restaurant for a local experience rather than some of the touristy places downtown (free Pepsi top up).

Kristy's is a large enough space that you never wait for a table. The staff are professionals, and don't rush you out once you're finished your food. The food itself is good, and the bottomless coffee in your own carafe helps, too.

Nothing exceptional. Decent food at a decent price. Kind of homey. Would eat here again if I was hungry and passing through the neighborhood.

Food is always good here. Atmosphere is nice. Staff is always friendly. Only bad experience I've ever had was years ago at Easter. A waitress plopped my baby cousins hand into jello after specifically being told that they couldn't have it. Fries are the best though!

Nice place, clean and comfortable.
Had the lasagna and it tasted not to bad except a lot of it was burnt. My wife had the fish and chips and the fish did not taste that good. It was a bit off.
Our friend had the wrap and it was good.
