“If you are coming through from Toronto this Mcdonald's is comparatively squeaky clean. The service is always good and they do their best when extremely busy. The bathroom is clean enough for me to bring the kids in and the breakfast food is always hot and fresh. I'd support more small business in the area in the future but with a toddler they made it easy to stop here by keeping their high chairs clean/stocked/plastic wrapped.”

We were there on a Thursday night which was busy and the waitress very kindly apologized to us for having to wait for our dinner, which we didn't think was long at all and had no complaints about. Other pub in town should take note of how a restaurant should be run. We will definitely be returning.”

I ordered a chicken curry and was pleased with the short wait times and the taste. Prices aren't terrible, and are more on the mid-range side. Will definitely return whenever possible!”

“I chose Castle John’s over another restaurant in the area based on menu choices and reviews. The staff was friendly. The place needs a good clean from a door off the hinges in the ladies bathroom to a Christmas tree, boxes and pieces of broken furniture stored outside the door. When the waitress delivered the food she apologized by how it looked and said that they were “training a new cook”. She said that she had even tried to make it “look better”. Thanks for the sentiment but if I was the waitress it would not leave the kitchen. The club sandwich didn’t look like a club and the ingredients were sub par. My Ruben tasted very good but there was one or two pieces of pastrami at best. While I realize that this was pub food I would have expected a higher quality. The new cook needs to be trained on food presentation which is equally as important as the taste. The waitress should have sent it back to be remade. She knew and even apologized. I was a bit surprised.”
