“This was my first time eating at halibut house. We used a buy one get one free haddock and chips coupon. The price was $12.95 for one and we got the second free I was surprised at how large the fish piece were. It was a filling meal. The fries were large cut, the coleslaw had the right amount of vinaigrette and was not overloaded with mayo. The fish tasted great. It had just the right amount of batter and not too greasy. The venue was very clean. I like the large screen TVs.”

“I had dropped in to Papa John's once, when they first opened but they don't sell slices and that's all I wanted, for myself. I was happy when my friends suggested ordering from there recently, as they've done in the past. Flavourwise, I have to admit a little disappointment. The pizzas looked good but maybe didn't live up to my expectations. They were a little soggy, perhaps from sweating in the boxes during delivery on a cold evening. I also found the flavour a bit subdued, especially compared to their appearance. Even the dipping sauces were a bit bland for my liking. Did they have an off night? Or did I? It wasn't the first time my friends ordered from there so maybe I'll give them another try one day.”

“I came here for lunch with my sister. We loved the Desi-style mains that had lots of flavour. Hailing from India, the restaurant's food and hospitality were reminiscent of the 5 star hotels back home. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and as we ordered the specials recommended by the hotel owner, we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality and taste. I was asked about my satisfaction with the food multiple times by the waiting staff, my appreciation was duly noted. The service compelled me to leave them all a good tip. I was really excited to eat here, and the appetizers were just fantastic. Overall the experience was really heavenly.”

“The best fish and chips around! We travel from Oshawa just to eat there! I have been eating at Jasper's since I was a child and they had a location in Whitby! I usually get an order of halibut and chips with a side of gravy. This is enough to fill me up! Many fish and chips places give you only a small piece and too many fries. “I have a lot of food allergies and I am following a special diet for bone marrow cancer. I recently spent a month in the hospital and just got out and decided to go to Moxie’s in Pickering for dinner. I usually can’t eat anything while dining out. I usually order lemon water and steamed veggies. Both the server, Carolyn and the manager, Steve engaged me enough to figure out what exactly I was able to eat, and in fact took the list of foods I could eat directly to the chef who then created a meal on the spot specifically suited to my dietary needs. I have never once experienced anything like this. Usually, I get steamed veggies and lemon water and no one ever asked anything else to help me actually eat a meal. This experience was completely different for me and I was able to enjoy a lovely dinner this evening. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with any sort of dietary needs as they did not hesitate to accommodate me, nor did I feel like I was being a burden or high maintenance. They welcomed me and made me feel very much at home and catered to my needs specifically. Thank you so much for making me feel so happy and included at such a difficult time in my life!!!”
