The food here is pretty good American comfort food. The burgers and sandwiches are served with choice of two sides! The staff and customer service has always been really good. This place is like if Jack Astor's was actually good. Definitely recommend! Skip out on Moxie's, Pickle Barrel, etc. I'd recommend the bison burger or their classic double patty house burger. The jalapeno cheddar mashed potatoes are very tasty too! State & Main is a Durham Region hot spot.

Very high prices but great for a special night out. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

I had my business guest to this place tonight, and amazingly, everything went very well. The dishes were simple, but good quality. The ambience was nice, the patio was nice, and staff were caring.

I came here with my parents for dinner not expecting much as my parents think any place with "pub" in their name is cheap fast food. but that is the opposite of what we experienced here.

The food was amazing, fresh, with healthy options available for my diabetic mother. We were shocked to see all the fancy foods available. we've come here multiple times now and we haven't been disappointed at all.
The waitress really like working here as well as they can really express how they feel about each dish if asked. our waitress told us her favourite dish was the tuna poke bowl so i tried it and it was amazing, my favourite bowl i ever tried.

My mother said she wants to try every item on the menu. so we will be back for sure
