Bagel World

This place has one of the best bagels in the city, their hand made bagels and flat bagels are a must try.

Ironically, the sweet baked goods are so much better than Bagel World's bagels. Fantastic chocolate and cinnamon pastries and breads; their rugullah, though on the pricey side, are also really good.

First time visitor though passed this place many times. Wanted to buy bagels and ended up having breakfast with 3 eggs scrambled, smoked salmon, everything bagel, coffee. Coffee was good and wont give high grades to the breakfast...

If I'm working in this area, I always try to get by here. They have a counter you can sit at so it's good for eating alone. Also the service is very fast. I always get the soup here, it's hard to find a good cup of soup sometimes so it's nice that they have that here. Also the bagels are good. very popular here. I love the rugelach. They are a little expensive though. The price is comparable to anywhere else.

The bagels are good...perhaps some of the best in Toronto unless you are an absolute fan of the Montreal style. The food is good too. The service is also good and the best it can be... under the circumstances. The circumstances are that the tables are jammed together so that you are basically having lunch with the folks on either side of you. Don't go there if you want to have a private conversation. The other major problem is the parking... there is almost none. This can be frustrating at peak times. Still 4 stars unless you can't deal with the two negatives.
