Demetres Dufferin

Good stuff and really good food. I advice going to this location specifically. The reason it's 4 instead of 5 is I have a concern about the location of this place. To be more precise, it's right beside the sex-shop. I doubt some parent would want to bring their kinds to the fun place, beside sex-shop...

Great dessert and coffee with friendly service. It's a great place to sit, chat and get to know someone. Now you might drive by this place the first time (I did) as the sign is kind of on an angle and not well lit.

They took my favourite hot apple cider off the menu. Got an Earl Grey latte instead which was good. Waitress was really busy and took a long time to come around to ask if we needed anything despite walking past our table several times.

This is my first time at this location, & it was such a nice vibe & beautiful inside! I’ve been to Demetres plenty of times but I’ve never had the ice cream on top of the crepe normally in the crepe, but I just found out that the plating is now changing so this is the new plating of all the crepes & all the locations interior will now be looking like the Dufferin location! Love it !! Also I’m not the biggest fan of having the ice cream on top of the crape either.

Took our toddler son here on a Friday night for some dessert. Called ahead and asked if they were busy and the woman on the phone said there was a couple tables available. Came in and there was no hostess at the front for a couple minutes.

When she finally came we said a table for three and were told she’ll call our name when she was done setting up the table. There are a number of empty tables still at this point and we still ended up waiting about 10 minutes after she took our name down.

While waiting we noticed one of the prep people cutting strawberries straight out of the carton - not washed? On top of that a couple other people just standing around chatting while this one hostess is setting/cleaning tables. Best part is we got seated at a table that was empty since we walked in. Servers that aren’t doing anything is just standing around instead of helping the poor hostess clean or set tables.

Very poor management from what I can tell or lack there of on a Friday night. I remember why I stopped coming here years ago. Last time I came here was probably at least 5 years ago. At least the dessert was pretty good but you can’t really mess up scooping ice cream right?
