Factory Girl

Went in on a whim on a Friday. Wasnt horribly busy and were able to seat us immediately. It was pretty dark and too warm inside. Food took a while but the portion size was good and tasted good as well. Ordered some basic drinks (rum&coke, etc) and they were just okay.

We booked a guys night dinner and drinks for about 18 people. They set us up in the private back room area so we could mingle and chat without disruption. The food was great. Our waitress (Ashley) was amazing. Kept the drinks flowing and the party upbeat with her friendly and fun demeanour. Within about 5 minutes she knew everyone in the rooms name and what they were drinking and was very attentive to our group despite cover other tables in the main area.

We had the best experience at Factory Girl! We went in on a busy Saturday afternoon and we had the most amazing experience. Kaela was our waitress she went absolutely above and beyond for us. They didn’t have any colouring pages for our kids, so Kaela printed off some colouring pages right then and there and then ran across the street to buy crayons for us! Wow!! She made us feel extremely comfortable and certainly well taken care of.

The restaurant was very busy, but Kaela was very communicative and kept us in the loop. We never felt like we had been waiting, it was great! The food was fantastic also, Kaela suggested the fish & chips and it was delicious! Crispy, fresh, and came out quickly. The kids ordered the pizza and spaghetti and I was very impressed with how quickly the food came out. The kids were able to eat first, which was so great!

All in all we had such a great time, we will be coming back for sure! Thanks for such a great experience! Kaela, we hope you are working next time we come in :)

Normally a great place for drinks as the beer menu has a good selection of crafts and there's an even better spirits menu. Food menu is great. On the pricier side, but in line with the quality and location.

Went in for an early brunch on Saturday. Although we were one of the only tables there in the first hour, the server seemed uninterested in visiting us. 20 minutes would pass between her coming to the table, which meant frequently empty and forlorn coffee mugs. We had kids with us, and the server was clearly getting annoyed that they were rowdy near the end of brunch. That really could have been solved by visiting us regularly enough that we could order the bill. As it was I had to flag down the host before we could pay.

This place is great and temporarily drops to 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the occasional waitstaff who are just uninterested in serving will just ruin a visit.
