small Caribbean cuisine restaurant for stand-in or takeout. good for lunch and dinner, mostly non-vegetarian meals. usually busy or has food shortages because of popularity, but otherwise delicious food and good location near islington station

I go here specifically for the $5 lunch special. Considering most West Indian friends and family I have will always say home cook food is the best, the jerk chicken here is great considering the price, portion, taste and the fact that you're eating out. The rice isn't too dry and the chicken has good flavour. It's not a salad so don't expect anything healthy. The ordering process is my only gripe, it's a bit chaotic especially if it's your first time. Once you get the hang of how to order, where the line is and making sure you check your order when you get it, then its smooth sailing from there. 12 noon is usually pretty busy, so if I can wait till 1-2pm to go in.

Ive never been in person but I always order curry chicken and jerk chicken regular size on skipthedishes. The taste is excellent, food comes extremely quick, prices are great and topped off with their free delivery makes them almost perfect. However I do wanna mention that if it weren’t for the free delivery I probably wouldn’t order!

Some of the most authentic Jamaican this far north. Really good food and portions and their lunch special is a great bargain. Be sure to get there right before they open as it tends to get busy quickly. Worth the wait regardless.
