Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill

Really nice historic building. Love the bar. We sat in front of the oyster shuckers and enjoyed conversing and learning about them. Food is really good. Great ambience as well. Distillery neighbourhood is also a neat place with lots to do before and after you eat.

Had the greatest evening ever!! Ambiance/decor was energetic. Food was superb, well presented and fresh!! What put this experience over and above was our server Jacob. He was the most Outstanding character ever. Had every quality you would want in a server!! Exceeded our expectations every minute!!

I come to Distillery District very often. I don't know why I didn't try Pure Spirits earlier. Today I feel like I want to eat some seafood, so my girl friend and I came to this Oyster house. Very friendly greeting and service, very good oyster selection. From presentation to the taste of very single dish, all delicious!!! after half dozen of oyster I had a mushroom salad, my girl friend had calamari. all cooked perfection!! We all choose fish as main dish, she had salmon, I took one bite, the best I had in a restaurant. My halibut is very good too, we all finished every single piece, nothing left on our plate! I also had a very nice ice tea. She had a beer, a very satisfying meal indeed. We did not have dessert here, but I will definitely back for them and of course trying more dishes! A MUST TRY IN DISTILLERY DISTRICT!!!!

The Distillery District that Pure Spirits is located in is a very nice shopping area. Use OpenTable for a reservation if you're here during the busy season. Excellent selection of Oysters that were very well plated. The mignonette was fairly standard, but the horseradish was freshly grated onto a very nice looking presentation. Cocktails were interesting and high quality I felt. Only tried seafood for dinner and we were not disappointed at all. Scallops were wonderful, the Trout was definitely a winner and the Haddock was pretty good as well (in that order). Service was attentive and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend in the future if looking to spend in the mid- to upper-mid range dinner options in the area. Thanks for a great meal!

Excellent friendly service from the minute we got there. Food and drinks were wonderful! We shared the Provencal mussels & fries which is plenty for 2 for a meal let alone an appetizer, shrimp cocktail (6 large shrimp) which were very fresh and cooked perfectly, then we each had a lobster tail $15.95 each that you can add when ordering any item from the menu. It was buttery and delicious on it's own without anything else. For dessert we each had a glass of sparkling rose because that's all we could manage after everything we ate. We will definitely be back!
