I enjoyed their beef empanada. Darn it, I wish I took a photo of it. Next time. :-)
This is a nice coffee shop with decent coffee. All staff are friendly but one barista especially, a young woman with blonde hair, is exceptionally pleasant. There is a nice level of light and both cozy and structured seating.
My only complaint is that they play loud music which is a problem both if I want to have a conversation with friends or if I go to work. The music is always louder than the music I’m playing on my headphones. I think the music is probably a good level for the baristas but for those of us on the other side of the counter, it’s too much and I often end up leaving earlier than I intended, feeling a bit annoyed.
Please choose a style of music that is not distracting and keep the music level on consistent level (hopefully low).
This is definitely a hidden gem on the Queen Street.. especially just being across the Broadview hotel + in a cool neighbourhood makes this place much more interesting.
The interiors are very welcoming and so the customer service and coming to coffee/baked goods - they serve the pilot coffee which is already amazing. I tried the chocolate croissant and it's delicious.. flaky and sweetness of the chocolate is exact.
They have a good vibe inside with different kind of seating which is kinda cool.. makes the place even more cozy and not to forget the exposed bricks inside will make the experience of being inside even better
Good coffee and pastries. Very friendly staff. Beautiful design and atmosphere. One of the best coffee shops in Toronto.
Went as part of a BIA walk (Riverside walks) ...wonderful hospitality and superb drinks. We had a Spanish coffee made with condensed milk/ milk and coffee...not too sweet at all. In fact quite delicious. The Turkish coffee was exemplary..the best I have had to date. And the Matcha was creamy . The Vegan banana bread was a great accompaniment. Nice local gem
