“What a little enchanting place. El Sol has so much of character due to the random pieces of art. Almost feels like you need to spend about 30 minutes before your meal to check everything out so you know what’s around you. The meal was absolutely delicious, homey and satisfying. The salsa, guacamole and homemade chips were to die for. So if you are ever in the area and want to take your tastebuds for a ride, you won’t be sorry! This is as authentic as Mexican food gets.”

I thanked the owner almost 4 times after eating because that is how delicious it was and that's how hospitable the owner was. I haven't eaten such good food for a very long time. I am looking forward to going once again. I can not say how good your experience would be, because the owner was there to make our food for us himself. Definitely go when he is there. Great care in preparing veggie rolls (asparagus, mushroom and sweet potato). Definitely a favourite... although next time will make reservations as it fills up quickly.”

“I love this place. Been coming here for a few months now and been several times. It’s nice to have something local to come to first thing in the morning and within walking distance of home. My favourite dish is the perked up benny. I’m always torn between that and the hungry diner. 4 stars because it is a small place and on weekends wait times suck, unless you come after 12.”

“Fast service on even a busy day. The restaurant is larger than you would expect from the exterior. It is spacious and you aren't breathing down the neck of the table next to you. The staff are quite friendly and treat everyone in a very respectful manner. Our server was very sweet and checked on us regularly. We had some great breakfast during our visit and enjoyed our table by the window. My only asks are that they would have maple syrup at the table and bring the bill to you instead of having to get up and go pay”

“Amazing staff and service. The food is also top notch. I was greeted very warmly when I went in. Got the halibut fish and chips. Brought to my table, fresh and piping hot. The fish was very crispy, seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. The fries were also crispy and delicious. I was asked about my meal at the end and he seemed very pleased to hear good things. Overall a very positive experience and awesome food, will definitely go back.”
