Old King Bistro

This place is superb!! We came twice, both in the quiet afternoon hours The most attentive, kind, and superior service AND food! The chef is personable and came out to speak with us about our order. Fresh, exquisitely presented, and delicious, we would come back for that alone! But the atmosphere is easy, not with super loud music, classy, and a very nice place to connect with friends and family. Their service is so beyond what you would get anywhere. And the food melts in your mouth. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My son loves your breakfast sausage. He calls them "Hot Dogs."
Though they do not taste anything like hot dogs. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very unique menu items. My wife loves your breakfast poutine. Love your doubled smoked bacon also. Home fries are excellent.
Portions are well sized. Highly recommend to everyone in search of some alternatives to the usual breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

Had a fantastic breakfast at the Old King Bistro! They accidentally put cheese in a dish that I had requested no cheese in and apologized as soon as they realized it (I just picked it out). Then they comped my meal and continued to apologize for the mix up. I so appreciated their desire to make this right! We'll definitely be returning soon.

I love this place! It's small and cosy, local family owned, very well priced and most importantly, absolutely delicious. The owners/staff are beyond friendly and so sweet. The picture is the King's Florentine Benedict (HOMEMADE BUTTERMILK BISCUITS? YES PLEASE)!

Amazing !!!! I can't believe it took so long for me to find this place. Great breakfast. The traditional breakfast was great. Awesome home fries and everything was perfectly cooked. The Chicken and waffles were OUTSTANDING and I will return many many times in the future specifically for this. It's the best chicken and waffles in the city. Best fried chicken period. Yeah. I said it. I didn't even want to say this because now I'm going to go back and it's going to be super busy and the prices for the dish will go up and then what will I do? Nothing. Keep going because it was great service, great prices, and great food.

I want the recipe for the chicken. I consider myself a fried chicken connoisseur and this is the chicken I want my kids to grow up on. I'll keep coming back to earn the trust, but if you like my review and share the same love for fried chicken, maybe someday you will invite me into your kitchen to cook.
