Great food, great service, in a lovely small town.

Excellent ! I love the space. I didn't order the fried chicken but my husband did. My only regret is not asking the chef for a recipe. It was melt in your mouth to die for. I had the wedge salad, the dill dressing was creamy and obviously home made - the perfect balance against the crisp lettuce. Mushroom soup was excellent as well - soup of the day yesterday. Nice pieces of mushroom and not over creamy as soups of this nature can be. I tasted mushroom not cream. Great job !! Kudos to the chef.

Had the great fortune of spending a week working in the friendly town of New Hamburg Ontario. The options for lunch places was reasonable, I believe there were four sit down restaurants we could have chosen, and we chose “The Imperial “ it’s situated on one of the two main streets of New Hamburg in a beautiful 19th century brick building. Someone took their time and chose architectural pieces from similar eras and mixed them with new fabrics and lighting to create an open concept kitchen and dining area. The washrooms in the back are equally as chic and elegant as the rest of the restaurant.
As much as I like tasting the food in restaurants that are new to me I love interacting with the staff. The staff here are world class, friendly, knowledgeable, warm, elegant and fun.Each time we arrived we were given Fabulous service!
Each day the table water was infused with a different fruit or vegetable. They switch up their burger and create fun and tasty signature sandwiches.
I had the burger twice, and the Kentucky fried chicken once. Each were delicious. My friend Shawn said their schnitzel was the best he’d ever had.
Great butter tarts and coffee topped off each lunch.
If you’re on your way to Stratford or London, take a detour and have a visit. You won’t be disappointed!

This place is fantastic! If you are in New Hamburg and don’t stop by here you are doing yourself a disservice! Everything we had was home made. Food quality and taste is fantastic! Will travel back to this area specifically to eat here. And to top it all off the staff is so knowledgeable and just genuinely nice people! Come eat here!
